Buffalo Bayou

With being the perfect place for a run or stroll, this 160-acre waterfront park features hike and bike trails linking western trails, lush landscaping, unique lighting, boat launch and a pedestrian bridge. Visitors can even rent bicycles, kayaks and canoes. There are little hidden gems all throughout the park. Ponds with ducks, water falls, sculptures, bridges and lovely trails.

Buffalo Bayou Park offers beautiful scenery and skyline views, as well as one of the city’s iconic fountains, one of the best skate parks in the nation, and an extreme rarity for Houston, sloping terrain with a biking and jogging trail. Home to a section named for a trendsetting Houstonian, Eleanor Tinsley Park, and the Lee & Joe Jamail Skatepark, named for a local attorney and his wife, Buffalo Bayou Park is the spot where tens of thousands of Houstonians watch spectacular fireworks on the Fourth of July. Includes: Eleanor Tinsley Park, Lee & Joe Jamail Skatepark, Sandy Reed Trail, Gus S. Wortham Memorial Fountain, Police Officer Memorial, Rosemont Bridge, and Waugh Bridge Bat Colony.
