Bush Park

"This 7,800-acre park was named in honor of the 41st president of the United States George H.W. Bush. This enormous park is located on the far west side of Houston and serves as a major attraction and nature reserve. The park hosts two large soccer fields, six baseball fields a shooting range, and numerous pavilions, playgrounds, ponds and jogging trails. Also available are a rock climbing area, archery station, horseshoes, a dog park, and volleyball courts.

The park has a system of jogging trails, many surrounded by swamps, forest, and bayous.

American Shooting Centers reserves 563 acres of land near the southeast entrance for shooting. The center provides different shooting fields, a gun rental/purchase shop and paid shooting lessons.
